Production of the finest quality of mustard oil
depends on procuring and processing of the
finest raw material, the mustard seeds. Seeds
are sourced from suppliers in the states of
Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Gujrat, Rajasthan and
Uttar Pradesh
and a randomly selected
sample from each consignment undergoes
laboratory testing to ensure compliance to
quality.
Following testing, the seeds are crushed in a
modernized versions on ‘Bengal Kholu’ which
produce the same quality as the traditional
ox-driven ‘Kholu’. Confirming to the traditional
process, a wooden baton, known as the ‘bota’ is
also inserted in the crushing bowl to deliver a
higher pungency to the extracted oil.
Since the oil extracted may contain impurities,
the oil is meticulously cleaned by means of
sedimentation and filtration. At no point in the
manufacturing process is any cleaning agent
used, ensuring that you get only the purest and
the finest mustard oil.
The pure oil is then packaged under careful
supervision in a controlled environment in clean
and hygienic containers. So stringent are these
measures that a lot of the packing containers
are manufactured in-house. Each package is
clearly ‘Agmarked’, sealed and cushion packed
into cardboard boxes such that it reaches you in
the same condition as it left us.
So, the next you purchase our product, you can
rest assured that you are crediting a century
long tradition for delivering you nothing but
the best quality mustard oil.
